“Azerbaijan is fully ready to hold Eurovision-2012 song contest. This event will provide the basis for further recognition of Azerbaijan and turning it into the interesting place for the tourists”, Secretary-General of the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) Taleb Rifai, who is on an official visit to Azerbaijan, told journalists.
WTO Secretary-General added that the hosting of Eurovision contest was an advertisement for Azerbaijan: “Many people heard about your country for the first time when Azerbaijan won the Eurovision contest. You have attracted the attention of the entire world this year and will provide conditions next year for the world to come here and become familiar with you. I believe that every people who will come to Baku, will be astonished at Azerbaijan”.
