I congratulate you - the participants of the 17th International Exhibition and Conference BakuTel-2011 on the occasion of this grand event.
Participation of 250 companies from 32 countries in this exhibition and conference is a clear indication of value given this event by the world ICT community.
Being held annually in our country, this international exhibition and conference creates favorable conditions for exchange of experiences, definition of cooperation, presentation of advanced technologies, expansion of business ties between the companies of various countries on the information society.
The government shows great concern for the development of ICT in Azerbaijan. The strategy for ICT development and several state programs in this area were approved and a legal framework was formed, appropriate reforms were implemented since 2003 and as a result a modern ICT market, which has a normal competitive environment and receiving large amounts of investment was created. Our country actively participates in regional and international ICT projects.
Eurasian transnational information highway, Europe-Middle East high-speed information network are examples.
I believe that the 17-th International Exhibition and Conference for Telecommunications and Information Technologies, BakuTel-2011 will be a good mediator for demonstration of modern technological advances, joint discussions of representatives of companies, government and public organizations, scientists and engineers, forming business relationships, the development of regional and international cooperation as well as direct acquaintance with Azerbaijan.
