Azerbaijan’s First Lady, President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Mehriban Aliyeva met with the delegation led by Ronald Noble, Secretary General of the International Criminal Police Organization – INTERPOL, GoMap reports quoting AzerTAc state agency.
The delegation of INTERPOL that came to the Heydar Aliyev Foundation viewed the exhibits and photos taken from Heydar Aliyev’s personal files covering various periods of his activity.
Following this, Mehriban Aliyeva met with INTERPOL’s delegation. President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation noted that Azerbaijan joined INTERPOL in 1992 and the state and government organizations have close relations with this organization.
Calling Azerbaijan as an exemplary secure country, Ronald Noble underlined the experience of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation in organization of cultural events and proposed to hold joint cultural events in Azerbaijan in the future.
Then Noble presented INTERPOL’s memorable medal for “Contribution to more secure world” to Mehriban Aliyeva. The medal was founded this year.
INTERPOL’s Secretary General said Mehriban Aliyeva was the first person decorated with this medal.
