The new 5 wagon (a group) technical equipments, which Baku Metro purchased from Russian plant, differ from previous wagons.
These wagons were supplied with technical facilities for health of passengers, protection from diseases, said the head of Baku Metro Tagi Ahmedov.
According to him, more three groups will be purchased and will be put into operation in Avtovagzal and Ajami-2 stations to be launched next year.
AHmedov said that construction works are conducted in the station to be located in the front of Military Hospital. At the same time, a new tunnel will be drilled towards the station to be located near Heydar Aliyev Sport and Concert Complex. The tunnel from Hazi Aslanov to Yeni Guneshli will be completed in 2016: “For the present, construction works are being conducted in 8 stations and 2 depots”.
