In January-March, 2013, oil and marketable gas extraction in Azerbaijan reduced compared with a year earlier.
State Statistical Committee says during the reporting period, 10.8 mln tonnes of oil and 4.4 bcm of marketable gas were produced in the country, down 4.4% and 4.3% compared with a year ago. In general, the production in mining sector slipped 3.8%.
Note that in 2013, the oil production is forecasted to be 43.2 mln tonnes and gas extraction – 28.8 bcm.
