Structural changes made at Azerbaijani Education Ministry

Structural changes have been made at Azerbaijan’s Education Ministry.

Press service of the Ministry told that Accreditation Department and Monitoring and Evaluation Department have been abolished and Department of licensing and quality control of education has been established with the view of identifying structural division of the administration basing on efficiency and functionality, eliminating parallelism in the activities of the sections and improving management in this regard.

The Ministry has established Internal Control Department and Hotline service has been transferred to this department in order to establish internal control system, strengthen fight against corruption in education, take operative measures regarding information, received by the Hotline, exactly determine subordination of structural divisions and provide functional specialization.

Department for student exchange and education development programs has been established with the view of meeting the need of Azerbaijan for the specialists meeting modern standards, enhancing opportunities for talented young people to study abroad, increasing the efficiency of the student exchange and ensuring the implementation of interstate, regional and international development programs in the field of education. Sector on education abroad and work with foreign students has been removed from the International Affairs Department and included into the above-mentioned department.
