21-year-old Palestinian woman has given birth to 11 children during her 7-year-old marriage, including twins, quadruplets and quintuplets.
The mother from Gaza Strip says she is happy with her nine daughters and two sons but that she and her husband cannot afford feeding them.
“I cannot provide them with enough food and clothing…their daily needs are beyond my resources,” the 25-year-old father, Raad Al Batash, said in television interview.
Batash, a government employee, said he had received help from Palestinian president Mahmoud Abbas and ex-prime minister Islamil Hanniya but it was not enough.
“What we received from them was too little compared to my children’s daily needs…most of the aid has been used to buy medicine for them,”he said.
Palestinian newspapers said the 11 children had been born over a period of seven years, including twin boys, quadruplet girls and quintuplet girls.
“I really face difficulty in feeding them, dressing them and bathing them…it’s a daily burden,” the unnamed mother said.
