In the coming years, the pilgrims from Azerbaijan may be offered to visit Hajj only by planes chairman of the Caucasian Muslims Board Sheikh-ul-Islam Allahshukur Pashazadeh said. He said Turkey, Russia, Iran and other countries do not send pilgrims to Hajj by buses any more.
“Up to now I have asked the heads of the states, through which our buses pass, to ensure the security of our pilgrims. But there are a lot of difficulties. The lives of our pilgrims can be in danger. In connection with this we will probably choose the variant of sending pilgrims by planes,” he said.
