Hajj pilgrimage quota from Azerbaijan increased from 1400 people to 3600 people

As there is an increase in the number of people, who have submitted documents for the holy Hajj pilgrimage in Azerbaijan this year, the quota has been increased.

The Caucasian Muslim Board (CMB) told that pre-determined quota of Hajj pilgrims from Azerbaijan has been increased from 1400 people to 3600 people.

According to calculations carried out after the completion of registration, the number of those submitting documents is even more than newly-determined quota, totally 4000 people have applied. Those who have not paid Hajj fees will be cut and 3600 people will be divided into groups.

The registration for Haji pilgrimage in Azerbaijan was started on February 1 and completed last week. The documents were admitted by the Caucasian Muslims Board. The prices of Hajj pilgrimage is AZN 3250 for the hotel with weak conditions, where meals are served twice a day, AZN 4100 for the hotel with better conditions, where various kinds of meals are served. Hajj pilgrimage will be available only by plane. This year the pilgrims can not travel to Hajj by buses due to the unrests in Syria. Hajj flights will be carried by France Air company. Hajj pilgrimage is carried out only by the Caucasian Muslims Board in Azerbaijan.
