Entrance exams start in Azerbaijan

The first exams will be held for the 3rd specialty group on July 14.

The State Students Admission Commission (SSAC) will hold entrance examinations for the 3rd specialty group for 2013/2014 academic year on July 4.

SSAC Deputy Chairman Namig Babayev said at today’s press conference that the exams will be held in 11 cities – Baku, Nakhchivan, Ganja, Sumgayit, Mingachevir, Shaki, Aghjabedi, Goychay, Shirvan, Lankaran and Guba, totally in 57 buildings. 217 teachers have been involved to control the exams attended by 2318 supervisors. About 70 media representatives have been accredited to the SSAC to cover the exams.


28939 applicants have applied for the 3rd specialty group. 26776 of them are the graduates of Azerbaijani sector and 2163 of Russian sector. 7633 of applicants are boys and 21306 of girls. 15 622 of them finished schools this year, 10 715 in previous years.

129 applicants are citizens of foreign countries. 179 alumni are going to get a second education in the third specialty group.

The oldest applicant is 57 years old and the youngest one 15 years old.

The results will be posted on the website of SSAC immediately after the examination. The applicants can also learn their points by sending their working number to 7727 via SMS.
