Leader of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea Kim Jong Il has died, the state television reported about it. Kim Jong Il died at the age of 69 on December 17. KCNA news agency reported that he suffered a heart attack due to physical and mental over-work. He was on his train, travelling to offer "field guidance" to workers, when he died.
Kim Jong Il will be buried in Pyongyang on December 28.
