“The Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences will establish Petroleum Institute,” ANAS President Akif Alizadeh said at the press conference. Akif Alizadeh spoke about the importance of establishing the Petroleum Institute: “Azerbaijan is an oil country, we must have such an institute. This issue is currently being considered at the Presidential Administration.”
He said that modern Caspian Center is also being established in Azerbaijan: “President Ilham Aliyev issued an order in this regard, Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources and ANAS are engaged in the establishment of this center.”
Akif Alizadeh expressed his intention to establish an institute on oriental studies at the ANAS.
ANAS President said they would declare competition for vacant director posts in the institutes of the Academy: "Institutes will be led by qualified scientists."
