Her Majesty Queen Noor of Jordan has hosted a reception in Washington on the occasion of receiving Nizami Ganjavi International Award.
Her Majesty Noor expressed satisfaction with attending “South Caucasus Forum” organized by Nizami Ganjavi International Center and Club of Madrid under the auspices of the Azerbaijani President in Baku: “I was fascinated by the protection of ancient architecture and reflection of history in modern buildings in Baku.”
Her Majesty Queen Noor of Jordan said that Nizami Ganjavi was an extraordinary poet and his works are protecting their actuality. She noted that Nizami Ganjavi’s activities are completed not only with Azerbaijan, but also with the history of the world literature and he contributed to the intercultural understanding: “Nizami Ganjavi’s promoting intercultural understanding, peace, gender equality and equal rights for people that are important for everyone, had a great impact on the development of humanity. Nizami Ganjavi International Center gave a new impetus to the protection and promotion of Nizami Ganjavi’s treasure, though it has been established recently.”
Information was given about “Road Map” meeting held by Library of Alexandria, Nizami Ganjavi International Center, Club of Rome and Foundation of Peace with the support of the State Committee on Work with Diaspora in Baku on July 16-17 and an agreement was reached to hold a number of meetings in Washington under the consent and auspices of Her Majesty Queen Noor of Jordan.
