“International Award Jury” established on occasion of “Nizami Ganjavi International Award”

The Board of Directors of Nizami Gancavi International Center has established International Award Jury on occasion of Nizami Gancavi International Award bearing the name of great Azerbaijani poet Nizami Ganjavi.

The center told that Nizami Ganjavi International Award will be presented every year by the jury, consisting of the individuals of, who represent high moral principles, commitment to democratic values basing on the UN.

The jury includes Her Majesty Queen Noor(Honorary Co-Chair), Ismail Serageldin, Director, Library of Alexandria, Vice President of the Institut d'Egypte (Egyptian Academy of Science), Vaira Vike-Freiberga (Former President of the Republic of Latvia), Walter Fust (Chairman of UNESCO's International Program for Development and Communication (IPDC) and President of Globethics.net), Tarja Halonen( former president of Finland), Giuli Alasania (Chairperson of the Board of Trustees of the University of Georgia), and Melanne Verveer (The first U.S. Ambassador-at-Large for Global Women's Issues).

The first meeting of the jury will be held in Baku with the support of the State Committee for Work with Diaspora.
