But if her daughter's surprise cameo on the news distracted Ms Alwash from the job at hand, she wasn't about to let it show. The consummate professional maintained her composure throughout, the only signs that she'd even noticed the interruption a faintly raised eyebrow and a barely perceptible shake of the head.
