Applicant, who failed in final exams, gained 559 scores in entrance examinations in Azerbaijan

There are some interesting results in the entrance examinations in Azerbaijan this year.

The analyses carried out by the Ministry of Education in connection with the results of final exams for 2012/13 academic year found out that 128 applicants, who failed in final exams, successfully entered universities.

There are applicants among them, who gained 350 scores in the 1st specialty group, 301 scores in the 2nd specialty group and 330 scores in the 4th specialty group. An applicant, who failed in the final exams, gained 559 scores in the 3rd specialty group.

The results of the applicants, who have been awarded with gold and silver medals in the previous academic year, were also analyzed.

3 (1%) out of 248 medalists gained 700 scores, 145 (58%) – 600-699 scores, 49 (20%) – 500-599 scores, 22 (9%) – 400-499 scores, 12 (5%) 200-399 scores and 1 – 140 scores. 16 of them (6.5%) have been admitted to the famous foreign universities (The United States, Turkey and the Netherlands).

Last year, it was decided for the first time to give certificates to all pupils regardless of their results in final exams.
