New underground road tunnel launched in Baku
2.9.2013

Today, an opening ceremony on launch of new underground road tunnels in Ataturk Avenue, as well as F. Khoyski and Vagif Avenues was held in Baku with the participation of President Ilham Aliyev.

These tunnels allow intensive regulation of the transport, elimination of traffic jams and movement without traffic light in Galaba square around Ganjlik metro station and the roads intersecting with it. Through these tunnels Ataturk Avenue connects with Vagif Avenue, including Ataturk Avenue with Tabriz Avenue through Ahmad bay Agaoglu Street. Besides, the vehicles moving in Tabriz Street can go to Ataturk Avenue without seeing square. It’s also possible to direct the vehicles to Khoyski Avenue through small turnings.

This tunnel will be controlled by Intellectual Transport System.
