“On the initiative of Sheikh-ul-Islam Allahshukur Pashazadeh, the
archive documents of the Caucasian Muslims Board were brought from
Tbilisi to Baku”, head of the Caucasian Muslims Board’s archive, doctor
of history Anar Isgandarli told. He said they have begun the work on
bringing the documents dated back to 1823-1918 to Azerbaijan two years
ago. “The 4000-page archive has already been brought to Baku, but it is
difficult to bring all original documents. We are working on it now”.
Isgandarli said officials of the Caucasian Muslims Board have been
periodically sent to Tbilisi to work in the Georgian Central State
Archive. “We know about the presence of the Caucasian Muslims Board’s
documents in that archive. The Sheikh-ul-Islam’s personal relations have
important role and the work is successfully continuing”.
