Historical things have been discovered in Gala, Gabala as a result of archeological excavations. Head of Gabala expedition of the Institute of Archaeology and Ethnography of ANAS, doctor of historical sciences Gafar Jabiev noted that, two bloomeries and its equipment, conical dish, glazed and unglazed dishes with human and animal pictures, personal names and with poems on it. Samples of the material culture of the area gives information about rich city life in XI-XII centuries. " in the territory of the Gala of Ancient Gabala existed residence for longer time in comparison with Gullu tala and Salbir areas. The most magnificent defense buildings are in the territory of Gala up today. There, the cultural layer, which is the layer thickness rises up to 5-6 meters”. One of the main goals of the archaeological research conducted in 2011 is to create scientific exposition in the territory of Gala finding out cultural layers of different periods. In 2009 study area was 600 square meters and has been expanded to 1,700 square meters.
