The Ministry of Education made public the number of foreign students in Azerbaijan.
The Ministry told that 5389 foreign citizens are studying at the Azerbaijani universities. The majority of the students are getting education on technical and medical specialties. Most of them are studying at Azerbaijan Medical University, Azerbaijan University of Architecture and Construction, Azerbaijan State Oil Academy. Foreign students studying in Azerbaijan are mainly the citizens of Turkey, Iran, Russia, Turkmenistan, Georgia, China, Iraq, Pakistan, Kazakhstan and Syria.
