Largest residential complex in CIS to be constructed in Baku

The largest residential complex in CIS and Azerbaijan will be constructed in the area of 330 ha near former diary farm in Hovsan settlement, Baku.

According to The Greater Baku Regional Development Plan, at the first stage of the project, mid-storey residential buildings will be constructed in the 50 ha area. There will be constructed 3-9-storey 22 residential buildings. The buildings will include 1-3-room 3m640 apartments, Head of Marketing and Development Department at As Group Investment Elchin Niyazov told.

Niyazov said implementation of the project will start in 2014: “Currently, computational works are about to finish. The project “Hovsan” aims to build new living style outside the city. We have special places for parks. According to Plan, the construction works will be initially conducted in 330 ha area”.

Note that it’s planned to create light industrial institutions, sport and entertainment centers, surface metro, bike paths for residents, as well as artificial lakes.

One of the unique objects of the project will be an amusement park to be built on the basis of Disneyland project.

AT the same time, there will be constructed 2 schools with 440 pupils for each, 5 kindergartens with 150 children for each, 11 playgrounds with 800m² for each, 3 entertainment centers, 16 two-storey trade stores, 26 inter-districts shops, business and medical centers. Moreover, the complex will include road network in the area of over 10 ha, 20 ha green zone and surface parking for 1,200 cars.

Niyazov said that surrounding area also will be developed in the future: “It’s planned to create tourism complexes on the basis of the Greater Baku Regional Development Plan, conduct construction works in the area 2,500 ha toward Dubandi settlement”.
