Non-profit organization YARAT! participates in the 19th Exhibition and
Conference Telecommunications and Information Technologies which is
underway in Baku from 2 to 5 December.
YARAT! offers exhibition
visitors to see the works of young artists Faiq Ahmad and Farid Rasulov
who have represented Azerbaijan many times in Venice Biennale, at
Biennale of Modern Art in Sharjah and other major art exhibitions in
Europe, US and Russia.
The theme of Azerbaijani carpet will be
uniting for artists through the relationship of the old and the new in
art and life can be traced. Carpets by Faiq Ahmd demonstrate not just an
attempt of getting away from the canons, but also an attempt to rethink
the tradition to make them relevant for today. Destroying habitual
designs, the author gives his own definition of each element and makes
it consonant with the consciousness of the young generation.
Farid
Rasulov’s video installations is a unity of opposites - the eastern
luxury and European interior of hi tech and wildlife style and, which
invades the world of an urban dweller. Images that are accessed by
artists are fresh, original and easy to read for contemporaries.
Both
artists lead us to believe that innovative technology has become the
language and communication tool between traditions and contemporary art.
It is also worth noting that YARAT takes an active part in the BakuTel exhibition for the second consecutive year.
