Azerbaijani Culture and Tourism Minister Abulfas Garayev has today met with the Romanian Minister of Culture and National Patrimony Hunor Kelemen. Speaking in the meeting, Garayev noted such visits contribute to expansion of cooperation. He pointed out erection of a monument to Azerbaijan`s national leader Heydar Aliyev and a monument to Romania`s eminent composer George Enescu in Baku is seen as a sign of existence of high-level bilateral relations. Garayev stressed many things have been done in accordance with cultural cooperation protocol, signed in 2006 between relevant ministries of the two countries.
In his turn, the Romanian Minister congratulated Azerbaijan on the Eurovision victory.
Kelemen noted they support “all efforts towards strengthening friendship relations” and expressed his confidence on further expansion of ties. The Romanian Minister also stressed his country is interested in realization of joint cultural projects.
