20 years passed since massacre committed by Armenians in Garadaghli village of Azerbaijan’s Khojavand region

20 years have passed since the occupation of Garadaghli village of Azerbaijan’s Khojavand region by the Armenian armed forces.
Armenian armed units supported by armors and soldiers of 366th regiment of the Russian armed forces deployed in Khankendi attacked Karadaghli village of Azerbaijan on February 15, 1992. After two-day heavy battles, Armenians could occupy the village.
The village was completely destroyed during the occupation, peaceful people, including women and children were brutally killed, tortured and taken hostages. Nearly 80 of 110 villagers were killed, 6 became missing and according to the witnesses, 9 people were taken hostage.
The witnesses said Armenians shot dead 43 Azerbaijani hostages near Khankendi and some of them were decapitated.
Garadaghli village is still under the Armenian occupation.
