A six-leg baby boy born in Pakistan
16.4.2012

The wife of an X-ray technician gave birth to a baby boy with six legs in Sukkur – a city in Sindh province of Pakistan. The baby is stated to be healthy, but the hospital’s management is taking extra care of the child to prevent him from infections.

The doctors said that mother of the baby was also in good condition and there was nothing to be worried about the mother and the baby boy. Father of the baby, Imran Sheikh, is happy on having a gift of God, but is worried at the same time.

According to media reports, Sheikh earns around 6,000 Pakistani rupees a month; therefore, it is nearly impossible for him to get his child treated at a hospital. He has appealed to philanthropists and the government of Pakistan to help get his baby boy treated. Sheikh was married some four years back and this is his first baby. He was jubilant over having the baby boy, but was shocked after the nurse told him about the complicated birth.

He had to take his baby home from the hospital owing to lack of money as he could not shift the baby to a hospital in Karachi.
