Azerbaijani judoists compete in the European Championship kicked off today in Chelyabinsk, Russia. According to the Azerbaijan Judo Federation, Orkhan Safarov (60 kg) will face Dutch Jeroen Muren, Tarlan Karimov (66 kg) Moldavian Igor Soroca, Nijat Shikhalizade Andorran Daniel Garcia Gonzales, Rustam Orujov (73 kg) Estonian Yevgeni Salejev, while Elkhan Rajabli (81 kg) Serbian Alexey Nefedov.

Budapest has hosted an international tournament in rhythmic gymnastics, which was attended by Azerbaijani sportswomen. According to the press service for the Azerbaijan Gymnastics Federation, the Azerbaijani gymnasts won 21 medals. 14-15-year-old juniors won 13 awards, main of which was the gold medal in team competition (Mansoura Bagieva, Marina Durunda, Gulsum Safizada and Nilufyar Niftaliyeva).

North wind will intensify occasionally this afternoon and the fog will thin, senior hydrologist of the National Hydrometeorology Department of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources Asif Verdiyev told. According to him, the weather will be changeable cloudy and mainly dry in Baku and Absheron peninsula. North wind will blow and intensify occasionally in the second half of the day. The temperature will be 20…25 C today and on April 24-25. North wind will blow on April 24 and replace by south-east wind in the daytime on April 25.
