Researchers at the University of Vermont have made a discovery that could save the lives of thousands of people. They`ve identified two new blood types called Langereis and Junior. They revealed their findings in the February issue of Nature Genetics. A patient being able to know whether or not they have one of the two rare blood types could be the difference between life and death when it comes to organ transplants and blood transfusions. According to researcher Bryan Ballif, complications from Langereis and Junior blood types are uncommon, but certain ethnicities such as the Japanese have an increased risk.

It is meant to connect people. Novruz means a new day, which explains why we celebrate the holiday in spring. Novruz signifies the awakening of nature from winter, the beginning of a new day. Preparations for Novruz start four weeks prior to the festival.

RTR, the Russian national broadcaster has revealed the names of the 25 finalists that will compete at the 2012 Russian national final scheduled to be aired on the 7th of March. The show will be aired live on Rossija 1 at 22 hrs Moscow time. Russian Eurovision winner Dima Bilan will be bidding to represent Russia for the 3rd time, this time in duet with Yulia Volkova (TATu). Yulia has already experienced Eurovision when she represented Russia at the 2003 Eurovision Song Contest as part of the duo.
